The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sea-dweller is a very classic series of the brand. At 2019 BASELWORLD, Rolex presents a new Oyster Perpetual Sea-dweller watch made of steel and gold for the first time, showing a gorgeous, highly recognizable visual effect. (Watch model: 126603)

Rolex’s new Sea-dweller watch has a 43 mm diameter for men who prefer large timepiece. Made of 18ct gold and Oyster steel, the enamel steel case and the gold bezel look less exaggerated.

The one-way rotating bezel with 60-minute progressive scale is made of high-tech ceramic, making it anti-corrosion and anti-scratch. The bezel is equipped with a scratch-resistant Cerachrom word ring. The die-cast scale and numbers are plated with gold by PVD coating technology and matched with 18ct gold.

The crown shoulders are designed to better protect the upper crown and the interior of the watch. The crown is equipped with a three-lock triple waterproof system that can be securely fastened to the case.

When Rolex first introduced the Sea-dweller watch, it developed a safety valve, a drain valve, which relieved the excessive pressure accumulated inside the case and ensured that the watch was effectively waterproof. This important invention is still in use today, and it is set at the 9 o’clock position of this new Sea-dweller watch.

The black dial adopts Rolex’s classic design and is highly recognizable. The edges of the extra-large hands and hour markers are surrounded by yellow gold, echoing with the 18ct gold. The innovative Chromalight Luminous Display is applied to the dial to improve readability and clarity during nighttime readings, which can be displayed for up to 8 hours.

At 3 o’clock, there is a small convex lens window, which has the effect of enlarging the calendar, which is convenient for reading time information.

The middle part of the Oyster bracelet is made of 18ct gold, and the chain links on both sides are made of Oyster steel. The two different materials are used interchangeably to create an elegant personality.

Rolex uses a dense-bottomed watch back, and the watchmaker tightens the fine crater bottom cover with the special tool of the brand to seal the case and better protect the movement. This watch applies the 3235 caliber. The 3235 movement has a power reserve of 70 hours, 48 hours more than the 3135 core. The movement is also equipped with Rolex’s newly designed patented Chronergy escapement system, which has been upgraded in terms of seismic, antimagnetic, precise and reliable.
